Samsung 850 Pro vs Adata SU900

Going with one 512GB SSD and one 1TB SSD. What's the difference between these two?

They both have 3D MLC NAND

850 pros have a 10 year warranty vs the su900's 5 year warranty
And that's about all I really know besides the su's SLC cache and 'enhanced' dram buffer.

Its not a bad drive, but the samsung 850 is the tried and true.
If you are getting a pretty good price break over the 850 evo then go with the Adata, otherwise stick with Samsung for SSD

I think this is a very good answer. However, I just saw on Amazon that the Samsung pro 850 is having 10-years/300TBW (Total Bytes Written), vs Adata having 5 years and claiming 800TBW. So, if longevity matters more than performance than this might be one point to think about. Otherwise, performance wise samsung pro 850 seems to be a better choice from : http://www.storagereview.com/adata_su900_ssd_review .

TBW stands for Terra Bytes Written, not Total Bytes written. That would meant that a whole kiloBYTE is beyond the warranty

Also the 800TBW is marketing hype. To have that much data in the course of 5 years would require you to write 432 GB worth of data to the drive EVERY day for 5 years. While not physically impossible, it is grossly improbable. Be like a car company saying instead of the 3 year/36k mile warranty they offer a 1.5 year/100k mile warranty. FYI the samsung drive calculates out to 82GB per day which is still more then sufficient for average user.

I also think the 800TBW is a hype. 300TBW is good for me. I have decided to go with samsung finally after researching.
