Hey guys!

So I finally grew tired of not being able to update windows or basically anything to I went ahead and got myself a new Samsung 860 Evo and plugged into a Sata port. Unfortunately I'm unable to see it anywhere in Windows (disk manager, samsung magician, todo backup, my computer) or in my bios (Asus z97-a).

I've tried:

updating BIOS.
changing sata cable.
changing sata port (to ones where the other hdd's are visible)
enabling all sata ports in BIOS.
removing my HDD.

Will return it to the store today to see if it's DOA, but my poor initution is telling me that since the disk is so new (released Jan-18) it might be too new for my old mobo?

All help appreciated =(

Thanks

//Olle

Did you forget to connect sata power cable to your new ssd?

Anyway - if sata power and data cables are connected;
sata ports are enabled in BIOS;
sata drivers are installed
and you still don't see your drive in BIOS, Device Manager, Disk Management,
then it's dead.

Can you post some screenshots from BIOS storage device list, Device Manager and Disk Management?
