Do you care more abot the looks? Speed wise they are very similar, m.2 is more expensive but give you a cleaner build ( inserted on the mobo, no handing wires), tradition sata is a bit messy in the setup but should be a bit cheaper.

No I dont care about the looks. Both the M.2 and SATA is almost the same price. M.2 is just 3$ more than the SATA which I dont mind. I heard M.2 is much faster than SATA but is it very similar?

m.2 is just the connector, they are both sata type. same speed

m.2 nvme has a higher speed,
m.2 sata is the same spec as your normal sata.
