I just recently got a Samsung 860 Evo because they were on sale. I installed it to my computer but there is too much in my hard drive, so I can’t use the Samsung data transfer software. How can I get my OS on the SSD so that I can use it as a boot drive? And leave all my files in the Hard drive.

Solution
What size is the new 860?
How much space is consumed on the current C drive?
What constitutes this space?

In the Samsung Data Migration, it has the function to leave off certain classes of files like Doc/Music/Video.
Other than that, everything goes.
And leaving those behind may complicate access later.

And you really can't split out only the OS, or "OS + certain applications".
