Samsung 950 Pro m2 (NVME) and Over Provisioning

What exactly is Over Provisioning in the Samsung Magician?

I have a 950 Pro m.2, do I need to use this?

Over provisioning is something that is done with SSDs to set aside space to copy data to before a specific bit or byte becomes unrecoverable. It is a write longevity tool used by the firmware on the drive.
