After testing my new samsung 960 evo SSD and comparing to other results around online that i can find it seems im getting quite low 4k speeds, specifically low 4k write speeds? What could be the cause? Is there a setting i need to change?

Any other 960 owners, what are your speeds?

what you talking about man. your speeds are fine. its limited by your motherboard hardware and the controllers. read here to be further enlightened about the truth. the top ave speeds for nvme when used on conumser grade motherboards are
* Read 2,694
* Write 1,109
* 4K Read 59.6
* 4K Write 139

nvme isnt fully supported/implemented yet on most boards rn. and each board handles/limits it differently. so dont fret about it too much. if you have the latest firmware from samsung then you are fine.
