I installed a new M.2 the other day and I'm wondering if I need to do anything further for my computer to recognize it as an M.2. I was testing the speeds of it and it is exactly the same as a regular SSD. Is there a setting I need to change in the bios?

Also after I installed it upon starting my computer after the bios select screen when that little bar is at the top left blinking. It now blinks in 2 different spots back and forth.

Thank you.

Edit: Just realized there is a storage section of the forums, my bad.

Check your BIOS and see if M.2 port is in SATA (PCIE x2) or NVME mode (PCIe x4)
