So I've been thinking about getting a new ssd that is not too pricey, I watched lots of reviews etc and I came down to either samsung 970 evo or kingston a1000. From what I've heard samsung 970 evo tends to overheat compared to kingston a1000 but performance wise 970 evo is just times more better than the a1000 so I can't decide which one to get. Also kingston a1000 is cheaper so I can afford the 480 gb version rather than the 250 gb 970 evo. I'm not sure if I'll need such a ridiculous speed that 970 evo offers, plus a1000 seems much more stable in terms of temperature but the numbers the 970 evo offers are just too good.

Please help me I only have about 15 gb memory left and I have absolutely no clue and lots of doubts on which one to get.

P.S. I'm using my pc for gaming 90+% of the times playing games like csgo, gta V, fortnite but I'll be downloading more games when I get new ssd

Solution
If you're low on space and have to choose between 250GB and 500GB, then I'd choose 500GB.
But not Kingston. Choose Samsung 860 Evo 500GB or Crucial Mx500 500GB instead.

NVME speed looks good mainly in benchmarks. In real world situations speed difference is not that impressive.

But what about the temperatures? Aren't they gonna damage the ssd at any point? And how does throttling affect the ssd?

Sorry for too many questions I'm newbie at this xD
