I exactly got this thread problem.

Is there anything wrong with the ssd? Do I need to be worried about anything? As long as the performance doesn't decrease overtime I'm fine with 800mb/s and if I need more speed I'll just restart. But if it decrease to 200mb/s over a few years then I'm not ok with that.
Isn't there a fix instead of just restarting or staying in bios?

Left first boot without staying in bios so windows booted before pc got warm. Right after restart or staying in bios before booting so windows booted after pc got warm.

800mb/s might be as low as it goes. Samsung have swapped the controller to one that doesn't refresh cache

do you mean read or write?

We tested the 970 Evo Plus (alongside the 980, and the older 970 Pro) in March, clocking it at write speeds of 1,600+ MiB/sec on 1MiB workloads. Our benchmarking was done with he old version, part number MZVLB1T0HBLR. The newer version—part number MZVL21T0HBLU—is considerably slower. According to 潮玩客's test results, the newer version only manages 830MiB/sec—half the performance of the original.

After Power On, how soon are you running this test?
What else is running on your C drive. Especially in Startup?
No mather how much I stay in windows the results wont change its always 800 mb. But if i restart pc after 20 seconds or stay in bios for 20 seconds before boot The results are good 3.5gb/s.
Just the ordinary stuff is running in cdrive. The results are the same even with clean windows install.

are you using the Samsung Nvme drivers?

its odd its both read and write. and it gets better as it speeds up

i found this but it was on a older mb which couldn't run at pcie 3 - https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/samsung-970-evo-plus-nvme-slow-speed.3542015/
and it doesn't explain why it gets faster

Do you have latest bios on motherboard?

I would ask on Samsung forums as its a mystery - https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/computers-it/bd-p/uk-other
