Based on the testing Tom did on the new drive, and the price difference being minimal, I wonder if this is a drive I should consider given my system and its intended use.

System is 9900K based for video editing (mostly concerned with live edit - less concerned with rendering). Currently specified the EVO version....One 500GB drive for W10 and Apps - another 1TB drive for data.

Thanks for the help.

Solution
If already packing the excellent 970 Evo, I'd certainly not upgrade just for the fraction of a second saved here and there; but, if building ordering new, the 970 Evo Plus is the obvious choice between the two...

Thanks for the reply; It did seem to be a win....but I was concerned regarding my specific requirements/use...will it provide increased performance for video editing/live edit in particular?

Nah....been gathering parts over the past few months.....below is the build ($0 items are in house).
Any comments or suggestions?
Thanks
