Quick question - over the next week or so going to be pulling the trigger on a new build based on 3700X/3800X or 9700K CPU. Intended use of system is Lightroom and some gaming (1440p 60Hz). The plan is for a 500GB unit for OS and applications and a 1TB drive for data.

I am wondering if given my applications the extra $50 for the 1TB and $20 for the 500GB will actually buy me more performance.

thanks

OK, that should work.
Just be sure you verify that whatever motherboard you get can actually use 2x NVMe drives.
Not all can.

Will do.. Thanks for the guidance.
If you can afford the EVO Plus - get that, they are slightly better than the older ones. Why buy old, when the new ones are made, and the old ones will be gone soon.

Yes, but here to see what the new CPUs end up costing... Compromise may have to be made
