Laptop HP ProBook 440 G5, i7, 8GB.
I replaced the M2 SSD with a Samsung 970 Pro, 512 GB.
But both BIOS as Win10Pro recognize it as 970EVO 250GB.
WinX is working well. Magician Banchmark reports also 970EVO 250GB with read/write speeds up to 1700mb/s

But WHY does it not recognise the drive according to the specifications?
Is it due to the interface? (PCIe 3*2)?

Yesterday I went back to the store.
We checked this M2 SSD in another laoptop, giving exactly the same result.
We opened another package, exchanged the drive and: the BIOS showed an 970 Pro 512 GB !!

Despite a not tampered with part sticker by Samsung on the first M2 SSD, indicating 970 Pro 512GB, the drive was actually a 970 EVO 250GB.
Now I am very dissatisfied by the Samsung quality checks.

Problem solved
