Hey guys. I recently upgraded from a firecuda SSHD to a samsung evo 980 m.2 nvme ssd.

My motherboard is an asus 970 pro gaming aura.

Using crystal disk i was only getting 1500mb speeds..the ssd is advertised at 3500 read and 3000 write.

i do have the most recent bios update which is 1001.

there are no settings in the bios for the m.2 slot.

what am i missing? im running a fresh install of windows 10 pro 64 bit.

You are using a platform from 7-8 years ago that does not support PCIe 3.0, so your performance will be limited by the PCIe 2.0 interface.

Additionally, if the drive is the boot drive, Windows will constantly be using it in the background, and this will negatively impact benchmark results.
