Question Samsung 980 or Pro

I have a gigabyte z590 ud ac motherboard and been thinking of getting the Samsung 980 or 980 Pro.
Will this board support either of those and run it at full speed?
The other question is I have couple of regular SATA SSD will those slow down the 980 ?

What cpu are you using?

Usage of 1st M.2 slot (PCIE 4.0) requires 11th gen cpu.
With 10th gen cpu only second/third M.2 slots are available. They operates in PCIE 3.0 mode.

980 Pro is PCIE 4.0 drive. With 10th gen cpu it can be used in 2nd/3rd M.2 slot only and in PCIE 3.0 mode.

Anyway Samsung 970 Pro is better.

Then there's no point in getting 980 Pro.
Get 970 Pro instead.
