Hey guys , sorry for this newbie question, but some can explaine this to me.

i bought a Samsung 980 PRO 1 TB :

(up to 7.000 MB/s) NVMe M.2 (2280) Internes Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-V8P1T0BW)

now i got these stats :

I use a Ryzen 9 3950x on a Gigabyte X570 AORUS Elite Board.

All Selftests in BIOS / Windows look fine. so i wondered why the writing and reading speed is at ~1500 MB/s

thanks

It should work beautifully fast, suffice to say you have a compatible motherboard. I believe that if you don't have Gen4 it will still be pretty damn great @ Gen3 speed.

And it's 1TB of space, I think it an awesome drive and I'm also planning on getting one installed in my pc.

i know that "up to 7GB/s" dont meen " 7 GB/s !" , but 1,5GB/s is ~22% ?

thats why i asked for advice :) but maybe someone have a great idea :D thank you

Alright so I have looked @ your motherboard webpage, And if there isn't anything besides the fact that you would require a 5000 series CPU to make Gen4 M.s speed work.

You have 3000 series CPU, thus only Gen3 speed, I would upgrade that CPU to get top speed...

Try another bencmark such as the samsung one or crystal disk mark. Verify your slow speeds if its still 1500/mbs you have a problem or a settin gthat needs to be changed.

I have a 3900x and 2TB 980 PRO and I get 7000/5000 when I did the benchmarking.

So if it's confirmed to have full speed with a 3000 series CPU then there has to be something you must do to make it write\read faster.

so reading is on 4,8 GB/s , writing 3,7 .

i tried many things : chipset update , reset bios settings .

under Samsung Magician ran a full test, and it shows me an error, and i have to re-install the firmware. i clicked install, pc restarted, and now i am on 4,8 / 3,7
