Hello,
I have just finished assembling my computer.
I equipped it with two SSDs:
  • M.2 NVMe Samsung 980 pro SSD
  • Samsung 870 evo SATA SSD
My motherboard is GIGABYTE Z690 UD AX, BIOS version is F6 according to BIOS updates.
In BIOS menu, it shows:
  • SATA section: Samsung SSD 87 (4000.7 GB)
  • PCIE section: PCIe 4.0 x16 @ 4.0 x16
  • M.2 section: there is only "N/A"
I make USB key boot with MediaCreationToolW11, it does boot on the USB key, but the M.2 NVMe SSD 980 pro does not show up in Windows installation, only the 870. And I would like to install OS on the NVMe.

Is it about drivers I need to install ? Or maybe I should install Windows 10 ?

Thanks for your help !

This my system builder is you need it.

EDIT: For the first installation, should remove the SATA and only let the NVMe plugged in ?

this might make it see it, but it should anyway.
tried all the nvme slots? top one would most likely attached to the CPU

no drivers needed in most cases. I doubt win 10 make any difference.

No, I haven't tried them all. Just the top one (M2A_CPU) like you said. I don't really understand but I plugged it in the wrong slot ?

From the manual:

I downloaded the latest version of the drivers from Intel. But when I browse the folder during Windows installation, there are none that are compatible with the hardware.

EDIT: It was not correctly plugged in :geek:
