Hello folks ^_^ I'm having a slight issue, that isn't necessarily major, but I'd like to try and rectify it somehow, but I can't find any concrete solution, I've nailed the issue, though. My NVMe is currently operating at half the speed it should (Samsung 980 1TB) Currently getting speeds of 1700 read and 1600 write, when it should be double that, I've found out the drive is running at 2x instead of 4x, I cannot find a setting for this in my UEFI anywhere, and it's doing my head in lol any suggestions?

The specs say that x2/x4 support is dependent on the cpu.

Note the *.

I suspect that your 2700, being an older chip is what is limiting you to x2.

But, do not worry much about that. Most of what a ssd does is small random I/O and that performance differs little.

Thank you, I was debating on upgrading CPU soon so this actually helps a ton. ^_^

So interestingly enough, After an upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600x, It still displays 2x
