Question Samsung 990 Pro 4TB SSD vs WD 850X 4TB SSD ?

Hello.

I am trying to decide between these 2 drives. I plan on using the drive as a secondary drive to store games and possibly files. I know there are cheaper drives but they are not much cheaper(around $100 or less), so I figured I would go for one of the best ones. Which drive would you recommend regardless of the price, between these 2 and why? I am looking for reliability and fastest speed. I plan on using the drive for several years. When the drive gets old, I will probably put it in another machine. Most of specs look better on the 990 than the 850x but atleast one review says the 850x is faster with games specifically? Not sure why this would be the case with just games, anyone know why? Thanks.

Gaming performance is not affected by the storage device you use (may is be fast or slow). Only when the game loads, you'll see the difference between them if any.

samsung is crap so use the other one

No, its not. Both are good. although the 850x has a higher speed (advertised) and the Samsung's one is lower. By lower, I mean about 2000MBp/s lower. This wont affect gaming performance as I said, but will, when it comes to read/write tasks.
