I just bought a Samsung 990 PRO, it was advertise to get a speed of 7GB

but after testing it with samsung magician software, I only got 1.5GB speed

why is it slow? I saw some youtubers got the result to 7GB

It is probably slow because of the motherboard and slot it is connected to.
What motherboard, CPU and which M.2 slot is it connected ?
Double check the specs of your motherboard. Which PCIe generation is the M.2 slot? How many PCIe lanes?
Your results look like a PCIe gen3 X2 slot.

my motherboard is
B450 AORUS ELITE and there is a two slot of ssd nvme
cpu is ryzen 5 3600

If you look at the SPECs page -- https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-ELITE-rev-1x/sp#sp in the storage section the M2B slot is shown as a PCIe gen 3 X2 slot

1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe 3.0 x4/x2 SSD support) (M2A_SOCKET)
1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 PCIe 3.0 x2 SSD support)(M2B_SOCKET)

If your 990 PRO is in M2B slot then it is performing as expected.

i think its in m2b because the size is just right, so they both have different speed? how much difference?

so do i need to change it to the other slot?
or do i need to buy a new motherboard?
how about cpu?

M2A is PCIe 3.0 x4
M2B is PCIe 3.0 x2.

Which slot is it in?

But you'll never get the PCIe 4.0 performance of that drive.
m2b , does m2a have huge diffence on speed? i put it on m2b because the length size was just right, i could u it in m2a as there is a huge built-in heatsink that can hold it.

also, if you can recommend a new motherboard, what is it?
also, do i need also to change the cpu?

It will have BENCHMARK speed differences. In real life? Very little, unless you have specific uses, like video editing.

Don't change the motherboard and CPU just to get PCIe 4.0 performance.
You'll see zero real world difference vs the 3.0 x4 in the M2A
