I have to replace a capacitor 35v 680uf 115degree for a 32" samsung tv powerboard. Can I go up in uf (to say 820 or 1000uf) if the voltage and temp ratings are the same?

Solution
Possibly - but I would stay as close to the existing capacitor's specifications as possible.

The allowable tolerance is the main concern - should be on the existing capacitor.

You may already know such things but (just for the record) here is a nice summary/explanation regarding capacitors:

However, being a "wiki" it should not be taken as completely accurate in some ways so cross check with other sources.
