samsung charge/sync cables

I have a GT-N8013 samaung tablet and the charge/sync cable is breaking at the wide plug. I have heard that I must use a special cable from samsung or the tablte won't charge. is this true?

Any sufficiently good quality cable will work, that's why standards exist. Look for cables advertising fast-charging compatibility with #23 gauge or better (lower) power conductors while avoiding generic Chinese brands and you'll likely be fine.

@InvalidError - this is 2013 tablet, and it uses special charging/sync connector. See nthe manual, Page 7

@Ralph - search Ebay/Amazon for replacement.

Ah, those stupid proprietary connectors, forgot about them. At least there are plenty of ebay sources at ~$5 and many of 'em are supposedly genuine.
