Can't wait for 6TB 2.5" SSDs and m.2 PCIe SSDs and............ Sandforce 3xxx cotrollered SSDs?
The days of needing even one 2.5" hard drive bay in a laptop is numbered. First optical, then that.

sweet jeebus.

6GB/s and 1M IOPS...this thing is a true monster.
I suspect it'll be very useful for servers that do 4K/8K video storage/streaming/processing.
The storage solution would no longer be a bottleneck for this application, nosiree indeed.

The push into PCIe is quite interesting. it's happening so fast now because the SSD makers have left behind the capabilities of the big storage vendor's ability to pull the data from drives to the servers. EMC,now DELL, HP and like are scrambling to figure out how to be able to get data from SSDs in a SAN to a fully loaded blade enclosure. i wonder if that paradigm will change or if they can catch back up.
