Anyway I have laptop which supports both TPM 2.0 and UEFI bios which should be the main requirements for drive encryption support in Windows 10.

Anyway if I flip the encryption switch in Samsung Magician then it requires me to do a make a secure erase USB, which I do.....The drive says "ready to use", and I reboot.

But no matter how many I try I can't get the machine to boot from secure erase disk, nothing happen. Its like it can't boot from Samsung secure erase disk.

So I am at an impass here. Can ASUS have done something so I can't encrypt my drive(s)?

There are SSD drives who does support encryption in hardware and ones who does not support it. Check your SSD drive specification about that.

Also TPM module support in laptop or desktop motherboard specification mean that this laptop or desktop motherboard does support TPM modules, but does not specify are TPM module is physically present in your system. Check your system specification more thoroughly to lea4rna bout are you definitely have TPM module itself present in your computer.

The 980 EVO Pro (which I have) does support drive encryption.

And if I run tpm.msc (sorry its in an alien language, danish)

But what it says is TPM module is ready to use.
