It won't spark a chip shortage - they'll all just get pink slips and laid off. There is currently a big push to find new talent in all sectors of the tech industry; so if a bunch of communists want to ruin their careers, they'll just get fired and replaced with newer, younger heads. We are all too tense due to liberals partisan politics to care anymore; no free money for lazy commies, and if anything, this is evidence to cut back on h1-b visas, as they're starting to bite the hand that feeds.
