I have a Samsung evo 500 GB ssd I am going to buy another one do I u RAID or use it as a single drive for 1TB. Trim works with RAID on Z77. I have confirmed this with Intel. Samsung said RAID is not supported but a rep from Samsung stated he was using them in a RAID config.

just go separately with both of the drives with AHCI mode in my opinion as 2 independent drives (of whatever size) is far easier and safer than trying to RAID SSDs. And you lose little if any performance.
