Samsung Evo 850 250GB making an odd buzzing noise

Sorry if this has already been asked/solved but i cant find any information. I have the drive listed in the title plugged into an old sata data cable plugged into my Asus b350-f motherboard. The power is coming from a corsair CX750M. The SSD (or connection?) is making a buzzing noise somewhere similar to something spinning and scraping. Is this normal? I have had the SSD for about 3 months, and its been making this sound only for a few weeks and nothing has changed.

That sound is something else. There are no moving parts in an SSD.
Nothing to make noise.

That sound is something else. There are no moving parts in an SSD.
Nothing to make noise.

Maybe it's the connection? The cable? It's isolated and there's nothing else around it that could possibly make noise either. The only thing consistent is that it gets loud when resource intensive games are open

That sounds like it would be a fan.
Roll up a piece of paper. Hold it to your ear, and move it around inside the case until you can locate that sound.

But it's not the SSD.
