Hello all

New build PC - I cant get widows install to boot from Samsung EVO 970. The files are copied correctly from the media USB but after the first reboot ( when the drive is supposed to take over) the boot takes me back to the BIOS. Tried everything.

  • Reinstalled Media Creation tool many many times.
  • Happens with the USB removed on reboot as well
  • Happens whether using BIOS set to UEFI boot or Legacy
  • Happens with FastBoot enabled or disabled
  • Flashed the BIOS to ensure latest
  • Happens with CSM enabled or disabled
Not sure but this might have something to do with the drivers? Just guessing at this stage

installing or coping?
full system spec?
New Install -

Ryzen 7 2700x on a Asus A320i-K mobo. Samsung EVO 970 M2 and Corsair Vengance 32GB ram.

Also tried enable/disable AMI Native NVMe Driver Support.

My understanding is that the Samsung 970 NVMe does NOT have to have a driver. So why wont it boot?
