The samsung g95c only has hdmi 2.1 and dp 1.4 which do 48 and 32.4 gbs?! How do you use this monitor raw? Do you use two hdmi cables? The monitor should do 5120x1440x30x240 max. That is 52gbs.

Is there some trick to getting this to work?

I'm also just noticing this is VA only and no mini led. I wonder if it's worth the lack of miniled. This is the 2024 version with the black chassis.

Does this monitor also allow HDR at 240 hz. I think i read the older model could only do HDR at 120hz.

Well, read holy bible of monitors.

Page 17 shows that you should connect 2x HDMI cables.
But for DP 1.4, only one cable is needed.

Then again DP 1.4 supports up to 8K (7680x4320), which makes ~33.1 million pixels. While super ultrawide 2K is 5120x1440, ~7.3 million pixels.

In a nutshell, mini-LED enhances display performance, particularly contrast and brightness, by using a large number of tiny LEDs in the backlight. This allows for more precise control of light distribution across the screen, leading to deeper blacks and brighter whites, and ultimately a more refined picture.

Does this monitor also allow HDR at 240 hz.
Yes.
The 49-Inch Odyssey G9’s video processing is covered as well with FreeSync and G-Sync Compatibility certification from AMD and Nvidia respectively. Both technologies function at 240 Hz with HDR

Where is this bible you mention?
Holy bible of monitors = monitor manual.
You can download it from the specs page you liked. Scroll down, past specs.

Google is saying DP 1.4 only has 32.4 gbps though. Is that only enough for 120hz? Is it required to use two hdmi for full 240hz then?
While DP 1.4 or HDMI 2.1 doesn't seem to have enough bandwidth for super ultrawide 2K (which = as two 2K monitors side-by-side), monitor seems to work with the ports still. Since else-ways, Samsung would've not made that wide of a monitor and given it so high refresh rate, IF all that would be considearably limited by the display ports monitor has.
