Samsung Laptop np470r-k01ub won't turn on

When I plug in the charging adapter to the laptop, the green LED on the laptop indicates that it is receiving power. However, when I attempt to power on the laptop, the CPU fan doesn't turn on and the screen stays black with no other indication of turning on.

I removed the battery to see if it would boot with only the charger, but it did not resolve the issue. I broke out my Multimeter to check the voltage throughout the system (without knowing exactly every pin that I was testing...), and saw that there did not appear to be a short between the power button/IO board and the rest of the motherboard.

I am fairly new to working with computers (and laptops especially), so I am sure that I missed a lot of basic troubleshooting steps. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

All it takes is one dead component to keep the computer from starting. Finding that can be hard, so I like to simplify. Verify that you have the correct voltage from the power supply (19V ?). If you don't need it to start, unplug it form the MB (hard drive, network adapter, memory, maybe even video). Pray.

Thank you for the quick info. I had the Hard Drive removed, so I will have to check that first. But it looks like I have a lot of checking to do in the future. Not a large priority, thankfully. But I appreciate your feedback!
