Will Samsung compete against the king of low power draw which is the P31? Maintain best IO at lowest power threshold? Good to see controllers continuing to evolve, they are responsible for the heavy lifting and enabling more bits per cell.

I don't need faster drives, I need bigger drives. This constant rush for more speed has really hit a return on investment problem. We need more space on SSDs at reasonable prices.

Anything that helps bring down power draw and the heat put out by these drives is good news in my book.

It seems that this is mainly intended for OEM systems and will likely debut in DRAMless and/or QLC drives or BGA drives. Maybe all 3.
