Blame the SATA3.0 interface. Unless you want a PCIe or SAS 12gb connection, you're stuck with the current speeds.

Exactly the reason why they deserve a peace prize! Working in IT, you truly witness the impatience of people in this world. SSDs like this keep them happy, which in turn create a ripple effect that keeps the population humming along. No longer are valuable hours and manpower wasted by the complaints of having to wait a few seconds for the application to load!

@applegetsmelaid It's definitely a good step forward. But I still can't agree with the Nobel prize. These advances happen all the time, and if huge prizes were given for each and every one, that would reduce the value of the achievment. They certainly deserve some sort of prize for this though - as reading it has made the prospects of my future many seconds-wasted-per-loading-screen brighter.
