Samsung LU28E590DS Monitor (cant use freesync on Xbox)

Hi, I cant seem to find any information on if a HDMI to Display port adapter will work on my monitor. I was on with Samsung customer assist and they didn't even seen to know and only sent me a PDF of the manual. The Xbox only outputs through HDMI and the monitor (which i did not know before i bought it) only utilizes freesync through its display port. Has anybody tried using this monitor with the adapter on xbox?

FreeSync won't work through an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter.

That is correct. You need a monitor that supports FreeSync-over-HDMI.
