Trying to secure erase my SSD using bootable usb. Getting an error reading partition table drive 02h sector 0, after this it goes to a blue screen with a red bar at the bottom. Any idea of the issue I'm having?
does your ssd in good health with no bad sectors ?
if yes
then I thing the proplem is from our usb maybe
I suspect I have a corrupted drive, it keeps running chkdsk and removing a lot of corrupted files as well as recovering orphaned files. Is there a way to test for a bad sector or repair a bad sector? the USB was formatted and I used Samsung Magician to create a bootable utility to run the secure erase.
if you can boot to windows you can simply test your ssd with Samsung Magician
if not and your ssd is still under the 2 years warranty then return it as soon as possible

Magician says drive is in good health. When I run a performance benchmark I am only getting 88Mb/s Sequential Read 122 Mb/s Sequential Write and 4153IOPS Random write. I feel like those aren't good numbers.

Hi,
What is the BIOS mode you are using. If AHCI then try switching to IDE mode and retry. Try changing the SATA Ports to which the SSD is connected. Which Driver version are you using. Try with default microsoft drivers and run Peformance Benchmark to check is Read \ Write is still low. To create USB solution which version of Magician are you using?
