On 2 of the 3 installed NVMe drives Samsung Magician is telling me that I need to update the firmware.
So I go thru the update process, get a message saying the PC will shutdown.

After rebooting I check in Samsung magician and the firmware has NOT been updated!
I still get prompted that I need to update firmware.
Have repeated several times.

Anyone know what is happening?

Is all important data backed up at least 2 x to locations away from the drives in question?

Verify that the backups are recoverable and readable.

Are you sure that you are providing any necessary update approvals via some "Ok", "Yes", or similar confirmation response? Could be off screen and only visible by scrolling down.

Select only one drive to update. Even though multiple drive updates are supported that may be problematic for some reason and is certainly more risky if the update process goes astray.

Name the drives so that you can distinguish between them. Update individually.

Do not risk all of the drives at the same time.

Open Disk Management and expand so all drives can be seen.

Take a screenshot and post the screenshot here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

Did you actually update the firmware?

You're supposed to make a bootable USB flash drive,
boot from it and
run update procedure.

Samsung Magician just prepares bootable USB media.
It doesn't actually do firmware update itself.
