Samsung monitor has blank screen despite working well

My samsung monitor is S22D300. I connected to the laptop using an HDMI adapter because the laptop doesn't have a VGA port. After trying i got it working but now the same thing is happening again. The screen is blank even thought it's detected by the laptop. It must be a driver issue. What could i do?

I use an adapter that converts it to HDMI. It worked fine for a bit but after that it became blank again. It must be for sure something with the driver. What else could i try?

I've had like 4 hdmi cables go bad on me though have you tried another hdmi cable? Sounds like a bad connection or short.

No. But i saw it working fine. While installing the driver i saw a screen saying to choose between S22D300( VGA) and S22D300(HDMI),Which one should i choose since that i'm using an adapter? I'm afraid that's the issue.

Not sure you'll probably have to try both hdmi would be my guess.
Have you right clicked the desktop went to screen resolution and selected your monitor as the default?

Ok...Maybe if i would try another VGA cable with that adapter could change anything?

I doubt your vga cable is bad doesn't hurt to try if you have one laying around.

Actually I encountered the same problem and I am finding for solution now.
