SAMSUNG note 4 firmware takes forever to download

Hi, since i downloaded the firmware (android 6.0.1) from sammobile.com i extracted it (2.1gb)and sent it to my phone then i entered the setup ( idk how it's called sry ) now it says downloading but it's there for 90mins now is it normal or should i worry ?!

Just let it run its course it will shut off a couple times but as long as it has power it will be fine. It is 2 gb so it will take a while.

I wouldn't recommend downloading the apps. Do you have access to Wifi? Try to update the software via Wifi

Honestly, I don't download updates other than the source, even if it is a trusted source. Always update from the phone. Can you use your phone?

but my brother succesfully updated his samsung S5 the same way as mine.. in just 30mins

Exactly. The Note 4 is completely different, and should not be compared to other Galaxy phones.

Exactly. The Note 4 is completely different, and should not be compared to other Galaxy phones.

What can possibly go wrong ??! pls tell me im so stressed !

Well, you want to make sure you picked the right one with the right model number. There is a standard one, which works with INTL phones. If you have a carrier, then it could conflict. Can you use the phone now? Again, I always recommend updating from the phone itself.

mine is the sm-910p and yes i picked the the right one from the official site

no i can't use it it's stuck on downloading cus i forgot mobile data on and not the wifi

If it is stuck on downloading, reboot the phone. Then go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update. Make sure you have WiFi turned on.

Never mind guys i just didn't check a step ... now i installed android 6.0.1 successfuly without any problems and the battery is amazing !

Download the latest firmware form http://samfirmware.net and apply update from odin latest version.
may be your problem will be solved
