Samsung Note 5 Issues

I have had a Samsung Note 5 for multiple months now, and have very few complaints as I am generally very happy with it. However, there are a few things that have been bugging me. First off, the fingerprint scanner sucks. I have tried it over and over, removing and adding fingerprints and it just is plain inaccurate. I get about a 30% success rate on it if I were to guess, sometimes more and sometimes I get locked out and have to use a password because it just won't read no matter how well I center my finger on it. I have cleaned it, and there is no damage to it (minus the micro scratches which seem to happen on all of them).

The thing is, when I upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the fingerprint scanner magically started working like a charm. I never changed anything, and it became twice as fast and almost 100% accurate. A month went by, and now I'm back to the usual inconsistency. Restarting the phone doesn't help either, so I was wondering what could have changed temporarily to fix it. I can't imagine there's a cache or anything that you can access/wipe from time to time.

The other issue is the accuracy of the keyboard. Same thing here, was super accurate when I bought it, then got worse. I even tried wiping the keyboard and starting over, but it barely helped. Updated to Marshmallow, and like magic it worked great again. I have no clue what changed, and it really makes no sense that it started becoming horrible again as well. Is there any kind of maintenance or anything I can be doing to fix these issues? I feel like they are so random and inconsistent.
