Question SAMSUNG (NVidia High Definition Audio) "goes to sleep" and disappears

Ive been dealing with this for awhile, but its getting aggravating. If I dont use my computer for awhile, it seems my sound card "goes to sleep".
I used to think I had to reboot to get it back, but not long ago found if I went into Settings > System > Sound, and opened "Sound Control Panel" it would pop back up.
I have no clue why this works, or why this started
I tried deleting the driver etc and rebooting. Same issue.

Nvidia High Def Audio is just the sound you get through speakers on monitors, it shouldn't be the "sound card" on your pc. Its your GPU.

Have you tried updating GPU drivers?

another cause appears to be old audio drivers (not the nvidia ones)

Spoke too soon. Must of had a program up that kept it active before. Was just asleep again :-/

Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

It doesn’t delete anything, it just stops non Microsoft programs running with start. Easy to reverse.

if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.
