Hello all.

I recently purchased 2 32" Samsung 1440p monitors from Best Buy. Here are the model numbers:

Model: S32CG512EN
Model Code: LS32CG512ENXZA

I really like the monitors(picture wise), it is just that during power on sequences one or both may fail to turn on or when they go to sleep one of the monitors fails to turn on.

I went to Samsung website to see if there was a new firmware and could not even find the monitor.

Has anyone else with these monitors having these troubles?

Thanks.

Are they both connected to 1 PC ? System 1 or System 2. Are they running in 165hz vertical refresh mode ?
No GPU on system 2 ? FreeSync monitors pair with AMD GPUs not so much with NVidia, may need to switch Freesync off in monitor settings.

They are both connected to System 1 via DisplayPort.

I set the refresh rate to 120, FreeSync is off. These seem to help, but the problem just got less frequent.

FYI, I use Linux Mint 21.2 about 99% of the time. The drivers for the video card are the Nvidia 535 package.

OK, the only place it appears that you can specify the port is button click --> left --> button click on Source. Displayport is checked, no AUTO setting. I took a pic of it.

Yeah, bad, very bad, not turn off, sleep. Turn off is the equivalent of you pushing the power button.
But you expect it to come back on without pushing the power button. Got it now ?
I recommend a screen saver, you can have it as a blank page aka a black screen.

I get where you are coming from, but I have never had this issue with any other monitors I've ever owned.
