Greetings,

My Neo G7 arrived today and I am having a couple of issues, text looks rainbowy or with different colors or like little auras around it, as stated by my title I can't see 165Hz option in either Nvidia control panel nor windows display options, I am using the Display Port cable included in the box which is being ran by a GTX 1080 (soon to be RTX 4090), I already got inside the monitor settings and ''OC'' it to 165hz, already restarted the computer, I used my old display port cable that used to ran my old monitor 2k 165hz that didn't work, tried different ports with my graphics card, nothing seems to work and I am out of ideas please help.

Solution
Ty for your reply, apparently 4k 165hz is locked to the hdmi port, and they do not provide an hdmi cable for whatever reason, I went back to 120 fps and the colors got fixed, now I know pretty much everything except 1 thing, when I turn HDR on windows 11 the brightness drops and the colors once again become washed out, if anybody knows why (Assuming it has to do with me using display port and not hdmi but not sure) please let me know, in the meantime I will go buy an hdmi cable
Hi, sorry but I thought you were using a 1440p monitor. The GTX 1080 is limited to 4K 120 Hz on DisplayPort because it does not support DSC. The HDMI will be limited to 4K 60 Hz because it does not support HDMI 2.1.
Update, I turned on PIP mode to see what it did, and now the colors are as should be but now it is asking me to connect another display and I can't select any refresh rate in the monitor menu.... Idk if this helps some1 figure this thing out, once i exit PIP mode colors revert back to their washed out mode

For color issues, please make sure you are using RGB color format and output dynamic range is set to Full. If it is set to YCbCr 4:2:2 or 4:2:0, this reduces color resolution which results in text fringing. This also indicates a bandwidth limit. But if you can post your NVIDIA settings as shiwn here, that would be helpful.
