I am currently doing research for my late May/early June build and I'm wondering which monitor I should go with.
Both can be bought for under $210 from NewEgg or ZipZoomFly. This monitor will primarily be for gaming, writing, and some Photoshop work. Clear text is a definite must.

As you can see, they are pretty close in specs. The only selling points of the ASUS are the LED backlight and the thinner profile, maybe even the 10w less power consumption. I prefer the looks of the Samsung and its name as well. The Samsung's red LEDs also match my mouse and future HAF 932.
I am currently on a Samsung SyncMaster 997MB 19" CRT @ 1280x1024 85 Hz and the picture is absolutely great. I'm keen on the Samsung, but I'd like to be sure before I purchase.
Since I am buying in late May/early June, should I just wait for future releases (maybe a sub-$250 Samsung >23" LED) or just go ahead and get one of these for this good price?
