Samsung P2450H vs ASUS VK246H

I am trying to decide between these two monitors. They both look great and have nice specs however there is subtle difference between contrast ratios. The Samsung says Dynamic contrast ratio of 70,000:1, and ASUS has 1000:1 (which is extremely low!) but then they mention ASCR 20000:1 (ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio), but that is still lower than 70000:1 on Samsung. I am leaning towards Samsung but would appreciate any suggestions and comments regarding these two monitors. Thanks a lot.

Samsung's 70,000:1 is Dynamic Contrast (basicaslly total BS in my opinion).

Asus is Static Contrast of 1000:1 which is the true measure of contrast; I think the dynamic contrast is 20,000:1 for this monitor.

Static contrast for most monitors is generally 600:1 to 1000:1. Dynamic contrast is generally used to set baseline contrast level for different type of viewing modes. The static contrast ratio is then applied on top of that to contrast different colors.

Dynamic Contrast is used for Asus' Splendid modes and I think in Samsung it's refered to as MagicBright modes.
