Samsung phone HELP 3S

My daughter's Samsung phone will not turn on or charge. She has much wanted pictures on the phone. Is there any way to get them off? They were not all backed up to a cloud and the local cellular one store said there is no way to do it. I just can't believe it isn't possible!!! I don't know the exact version of phone, but I know it was before the first edge that came out. Probably 5 yrs old???

If the phone is physically unable to turn on, you aren't going to get the photos or other data off of it.

You will need to turn it on to get anything off of it. This is why I say over and over "regularly back up things to a computer or cloud account".
