Hello
I was going to buy Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD but today I watched a video on YouTube about Samsung 860 QVO SSD's I heard it's little cheaper than the EVO

Is the performance of QVO is better than EVO

Should I Stick on to EVO or purchase the QVO ?

Solution
Simple answer, QVO is WORSE than EVO.

While QVO is a new generation in SSD technology, it is designed specifically to continue the price drop of high capacity SSDs. (Which means they had to sacrifices a few features.)

While good for the average consumer, it does have several drawbacks that it's more expensive EVO countparts don't have:

1. QVO relies a lot more on cache tech to keep it's speed up. Once the cache gets fully saturated when writing big files to the drive, your write speed drops by half.

2. I believe endurance is also noticeably less than it's EVO counterparts.

If you google QVO, you'll see more details on why it's good and bad.

Right now, I see the QVO being the exact same price as the EVO drives, so getting an EVO...
