samsung rc510 graphics card

Hi I have Samsung rc510 and the screen is just lighting up there's also a green line running from the top of the screen to the bottom it's not coming on at all can you tell me what's wrong I ask a senior I T person he said it was the graphics card where can I get one to buy

On most laptops you cannot upgrade the graphics card.
So your most likely solutions would be:
1. Plug in external monitor - but then you are no longer portable.
2. New motherboard - expensive.
3. New laptop.

That does not sound like a graphics card issue with the line, video card issues usually come up as more random lines and dots on the screen not as a single line. This sounds like bad screen. Using it with an external monitor will tell you if it's a bad card or not a bad card will show the same issue on both monitors.
