I'm in the market for a new monitor I was thinking of getting S32D850T. I read theirs flickering with the monitor. Is it worth getting? is their a better 1440p monitor to grab instead? I have had bad luck when it comes to 1440p monitors. All of them had some kind of flickering issue.

Or is it still better idea to stick with 1080P for a time until something better comes out?

Usage: Video editing, Web, and from time to time gaming.

Then you should have a good choice.

See http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/top-best-computer-monitors,3917.html

For gaming, a good refresh rate is desirable. But there's not much choice of 1440p and over 60Hz. See Gaming

For video editing, an IPS would be desirable - for good colour representation. See Professional eg http://www.amazon.com/PA248Q-24-Inch-LED-Lit-Professional-Graphics/dp/B008DWH00K/?&tag=bom-tomshardware-20&ascsubtag=[site|thaus[cat|[art|[pid|B008DWH00K[tid|14318355443328428[bbc|LEPRIX

I had ROG Swift which had GSync and high refresh rate for awhile until is start flickering like crazy. I had to return it, tried Dell U2713H. Same thing happened.

That PA248Q is to small. I need a monitor between 27 and 34 inches.

Looked at Benq BL3200PT, Not sure if it's any good.

Their also Samsung 31.5” LED Curved, Which will be released shortly, It's only 1080P though.
