I've recently bought a Samsung Series 3 np355v5c-a0euk that has previously been upgraded from an AMD A8-4500m to an A10-5750m. The ram has also been upgraded from 6Gb to 8Gb. It has had a fresh install of windows 8.1 pro, again prior to my purchase of it. The issue is, display drivers won't successfully install. When I do install them, all seems well until I check device manager, which shows a caution symbol.

I'm not that laptop savvy, yet I can only assume they can't be that different to desktop. Does anyone know why AMD driver's aren't correctly installing-is it to do with the main board being hard limited to certain hardware or software?

Thanks

Try the drivers from Samsung not the AMD ones if that is where you downloaded the drivers from. It may very well be the CPU change, the video hardware is part of the CPU and that may be an issue with OEM hardware since the motherboard or BIOS may be locked to a certain model CPU.
