Samsung SM-223BW or NEC AccuSync® LCD22WMGX 22"

Which monitor to choose? The Samsung is 177 pounds ($350) the NEC is 235 pounds ($470). What has the NEC got to justify the extra expense (which I could spend on a better CPU) or what has the Samsung got which is so bad that needs to be avoided?
