I have been running these m.2's in raid 0 for a quite a while on my Asus ROG Strix z270f Gaming mobo. I have never updated the firmware on these. They are not recognized my Samsung's magician software. I know these are not main stream sticks. I got them just as m.2 was getting hot, and these were the tops at the time. They are still pretty good. But I would think a firmware update might make them faster.
I do not know how to do the update. And I do not want to kill my array.
Anyone know how to I should do this? I'm not even sure what to look for on samsungs site.
Also is there a way to make these visible to magician?

I know these are OEM drives. But there should be some firmware updates out there. I know not direct from samsung, but more likely from a major vendor like HP or Dell that might have something.
Thoughts? Sugestions?

Here you can download firmware for M2 drives without using the Samsung Magician software. But you may still have to break the array. It may be that the Magician software is designed only for SATA drives.

You create a CD from the ISO file and boot off of that to install the firmware.

You can possibly hook up one drive at a time to install the firmware and not break the array, since the firmware update doesn't affect the load on the drive.
Thinking there should be firmware updates and there actually being some is not really the same. Did you check Asus support since it's their laptop? And why do you want to update the firmware? One of the more interesting way I found people break things is trying to fix something that is not broken. What happens if the update fails, or you try one not made for those drives but you tried it because it's "close"?
