I have a Samsung Smart TV and it doesn't see any wifi networks at all, I don't know what to do. I have done a factory reset and still nothing, every now and then I can get the Network list to show, but it doesn't last long enough to get connected, has anyone else had this?

Many TVs have wifi problems because the antenna is behind the screen and backs up to the wall. It is a poor design, but..... As a test, you could try using wifi on a phone held behind the TV to see if the signal falls off badly.

Without reference to your particular TV, here are some ideas. Temporarily move your access point/router and TV as close as possible. If that works then re-position the equipment as best you can to maintain a connection. If the equipment must be positioned so the wifi is weak, then use the Ethernet port on the TV. Either trough a direct Ethernet wire (the best) or bridging through a wifi or powerline adapters. You can also check if the manufacturer has a wifi dongle that will plug into the TV in a better location.

There may be others that have recommendations specific to your TV, but if you need to buy bridging adapters, make sure you do so from a store with a good return policy and return them if it doesn't resolve your situation. That is what returns are for.

Well what I have is an external Antenna, it has a bluetooth button and says it links up. The Samsung is an 8000 model and besides this issue works great. I have used a Lan line and there are no issues whatsoever, problem is the TV is being used upstairs and the router is downstairs, so that really isn't an option. I researched the external antenna, but haven't seen any reports of any real issues.

That is frequently a problem that requires an alternate method of distribution.

I suggest power line networking when the WiFi is so far removed and there is no way to run direct Ethernet. Buy the fastest rated model. Hook them up and test them right away because powerline networking does not always work and the adapters may need to be returned. I don't use powerline networking any more so I don't have a specific recommendation.

A wifi repeater may also help if it can be positioned in between.

Yeah I thought so as well, but I actually moved the TV downstairs, put it right next to the router and it still doesn't see it, so I thought of that. I did hardwire it as I stated earlier and of course that worked, but the wireless is a miss. I will look into getting something to strengthen the signal, that is at least a start.
